In 1976, Detective Ray Windsor is exiled from Brisbane to the remote Queensland town of Royalton after defying corrupt police practices. Upon arrival, he uncovers a pattern of crimes largely ignored by the local police chief and his elusive superior. When two young girls from immigrant families are found dead and another goes missing, Windsor and his new partner, Arshag, take matters into their own hands. Navigating a town steeped in prejudice and corruption, they must confront deep-seated injustices while facing personal and professional challenges.
