Charlotte “Charlie” Davis has suffered immeasurable losses—her father’s suicide, her best friend’s death, and abuse—leading her to self-harm as a way to cope. After a suicide attempt lands her in a self-harm treatment center, she begins the slow and painful process of confronting her trauma amidst the company of other girls navigating similar pain. When forced back into an abusive home, Charlie escapes to Tucson to live with her childhood friend Mikey, seeking space to heal but still wrestling with old habits. There, she connects with supportive figures—Blue, Felix, and an artist mentor—and rediscovers her voice through art and fragile friendships. While setbacks test her resolve, Charlie ultimately finds a fragile, creative path toward recovery and purpose.
